About this game
Mansion Layout & Movement
Shadow Halls places you inside a sprawling old mansion filled with rooms and hallways. Your goal is to finish a set of tasks while staying out of sight of four figures who patrol the area. Each figure follows its own path, so you must study their routines and find safe windows to move. The mansion's design changes slightly with each attempt, keeping the experience fresh.
Task Completion & Objectives
Each round presents a unique combination of objectives. You might need to collect items, activate switches, or reach specific rooms. The tasks are clearly shown, but the order is up to you. Completing them all before the patrolling figures catch you is the core challenge. Some tasks are optional and offer extra rewards, but focusing on the main goals first is wise.
Controls & Accessibility
You control your character using either the keyboard or mouse. The interface is clean and responsive, working well on both desktop and mobile browsers. A brief tutorial at the start explains the controls and basic strategies. The game can be paused at any time, which helps when planning your next move. The learning curve is gentle, but the difficulty increases as you progress.
Replay Value & Progression
Because the mansion layout and task sets change each session, no two runs feel the same. A reward system tracks your achievements and encourages you to improve your performance. Customization options let you adjust visual or gameplay elements to suit your preferences. This structure supports both short play sessions and longer, more focused attempts.
Atmosphere & Design Philosophy
The visual style uses clear colors and shapes to highlight hazards, items, and safe zones. The atmosphere builds tension through strategic timing rather than graphic content. The sound design, if present, would likely reinforce the sense of urgency. The overall design prioritizes thoughtful planning over quick reflexes, making it accessible to a wide audience.
